Abstract
Erlang capacity is a key parameter for traffic planning and QoS indicating in cellular system. This paper presents an approach to evaluate the Erlang capacity of CDMA employing smart antenna and SDMA/CDMA systems. Simulation results show that the Erlang capacity increases significantly when a base station properly uses smart antenna technology and SDMA concept.
