Abstract

Research conducted by Drexel University to investigate NDT potential for offshore structures is presented. Work conducted under this effort included investigation of a global ultrasonic technique utilizing Lamb waves and a similarity coefficient analysis and state of the art acoustic emission analysis. Experiments were conducted simultaneously in a dynamic fatigue test on a 1/3 scale model K joint. (from authors' abstract)
