Abstract
This paper presents an experimental comparative study of signal-to-noise ratios for both single and dual-element transducers along with a theoretical design analysis of dual-element angle beam transducers. Various design parameters such as transducer element size, shape, roof angle, separation distance, and so on, have been studied. Trends affecting the lateral and axial resolution capabilities of these transducers are presented.
