Abstract
A theoretical modeling of the underlying molecular processes and the nonlinear fiber propagation effect has been presented. Fibers operate in multimodes because of the large index difference between the liquid crystal core and the glass cladding, and the relatively large core diameter. In that case, the radial intensity distribution within the fiber core is practically uniform and is simply a function of the propagation distance z into the fiber.
