Abstract

Computer techniques are utilized to generate activity-activity diagrams for the systems copper-, nickel-, and cobalt-ammonia-water at 25 C. Stability relations are described using pairs of variables like log P(O//2)-pH, logP(H//2)-pH, Eh-pH, log (NH//3 plus NH//4** plus )-pH, log Me-pH, and log Me-log (NH// plus -NH//4** plus ). The relationship of the diagrams to ammonia hydrometallurgy is discussed.
