Abstract

The thermal conductivity of Sr2RuO4 was studied as a function of the orientation of the magnetic field within the conducting plane. No notable anisotropy with high experimental resolution was found. In conjunction with the existence of low temperature quasiparticle excitations, the results strongly suggest the presence of the line node running orthogonal to the Fermi surface cylinder.
