Abstract

The characterization of anomalies found in a waveguide is studied using shear horizontal (SH) guided waves. A boundary element method is used for analysis in examining anomaly shape and size. Experiments with electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs) are reported. Initial comparisons of the numerical and experimental results show good promise.
