Abstract
Presentation of longitudinal wave data on a superconductor of intermediate purity and which shows that both regimes are well identifiable and that a detailed comparison with theory shows remarkably good agreement. It appears that the theory is applicable over a much wider range of purity than expected. This conclusion is discussed in terms of a comparison of data obtained on several superconductors with different values for the mean free path.
