title = "APPLICATION OF ROTATIONAL RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY TO DYNAMIC MEASUREMENTS IN GAS FLOWFIELDS.",
abstract = "The design and performance of a photon-counting, two-channel spectroscopic system using the 6 w, 488 nm line of a continuous-wave argon ion laser is described. The system is capable of dynamic, simultaneous measurements of either the concentrations of two gas species in cold flow or the temperature and concentration of a single gas species (such as N//2) in a flame. By means of a laser beam retroreflecting multipass cell, the effective laser power incident on the observed volume was magnified by a factor of 13 over a single pass.",
