Abstract

Arachnoid cysts are some of the most frequently imaged cranial abnormalities. As such, patients with arachnoid cysts frequently find themselves referred to the clinic of the neurosurgeon or seeking one out regarding their management. The majority of arachnoid cysts remain stable in size without mass effect, deserving no surgical intervention. When arachnoid cysts do warrant surgery, a number of tools and modalities are available to the neurosurgeon for their care.
