Attachment Style and Family Dynamics in Young Adults

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between attachment style and family dynamics in a sample of 238 undergraduates. Participants who were securely attached reported significantly higher levels of adaptability, cohesion, and satisfaction in their family of origin than did avoidant and anxious-ambivalent participants.
