Abstract
The best way to define autoethnography is through the three words that make it up-that is, auto, ethno, graphy. Auto: The research is conducted and represented from the point of view of the self, whether studying one's own experiences or those of one's community. Ethno: The objective of the research and writing is to bring out how culture shapes and is shaped by the personal. Graphy: Writing is not only the main means of generating, analyzing, and recording data; there is an emphasis on the creative resources of writing, especially narrative, for accomplishing the social and scholarly objectives of this research. The triad of requirements will help us distinguish between many other forms of writing that are similar to autoethnography and treated as synonymous with it in some circles.
