Abstract

The problem of designing a locally optimum (LO) detector to remove narrowband interference from spread spectrum signal is considered here. The interference is modeled as p order autoregressive (AR(p)) process. A new exact expression is derived for the AR(1) model signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) whereas for the general AR(p) case, an approximate expression for the SIR is presented. Simulation results are presented to prove the validity of the model.
