Beltrami field phasors are eigenvectors of 6 × 6 linear constitutive dyadics

The Beltrami field phasors with wavenumbers directly proportional to the eigenvectors of a 6×6 linear dyadic were analyzed. The intimate connection between the time harmonic Beltrami electromagnetic fields in a linear, homogeneous, bianisotropic medium and the constitutive properties of that medium were proved. It was found that a time harmonic Beltrami electromagnetic field is possible in any linear, homogeneous, bianisotropic medium for every nonzero eigenvalue of a 6×6 constitutive dyadic.
