Abstract

This paper describes the benefits and basic principles of computer-controlled flaw detector operation. It defines the computer-controlled flaw detector, describes how they work, and explores their application benefits. Several sample inspection problems that could benefit from the use of a computer-controlled flaw detector are also outlined in the paper.
