Abstract

The rheological behavior of blends poly(α-methylstyrene-co-acrylonitrile) (PαMSAN) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) was investigated in the vicinity of phase-separation temperatures. The blends were prepared by dissolving the corresponding weights of two polymer components in tetrahydrofuran. The characteristic rheological parameters of the blends such as dynamic shear moduli and dynamic shear viscosity were found to be sensitive to the phase change from one-phase to two-phase.
