Abstract
The potential for hydrogen production from high-strength wastes, which are frequently treated using anaerobic systems, was studied. Initial hydrogen-production experiments were performed with swine slurry using batch-grown reactors connected to a respirometer to monitor gas production rate and GC analysis of headspace gas composition. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 228th ACS National Meeting (Philadelphia, PA 8/22-26/2004).
