title = "Bond integrity of a plate wave guide on a half space",
abstract = "Bond integrity is of interest to researchers in non-destructive evaluation because it is used as an indicator when assessing the health of structures. In this study, a plate waveguide on a half space is examined to find features associated with bond integrity. Analytical and finite element models are developed to describe wave propagation. Mode and frequency selection optimization is discussed. Preliminary results suggest that changes in arrival time and amplitude can be used to detect the length of a very weak bond when using a special mode of strong in-plane displacement at the interface.",
