Abstract
As the pandemic begins to recede from the forefront of higher education, many academics find themselves navigating new and complex questions about teaching and learning. This time has challenged us not only to ask new questions but also to consider new modalities for how we disseminate teaching practices, evaluate effectiveness, provide care and support for instructors (and by extension, students), and generally re-create our campuses as vibrant teaching and learning communities. The present study explains three models for community building to increase peer learning/peer coaching, with an emphasis on decentered and emergent models of building trusted peer networks among teaching faculty. Through a community mapping process, we demonstrate how the principles and practices of peer coaching can be integrated across multiple institutional contexts to maximize resources and broaden the impact on effective teaching.
