Abstract
The Irish High-King Brian Boru has become a legendary figure, yet few realize that his achievements were quite different from his own perspective. In this chapter, information from the historical records is used to talk about the life, ambitions, and concerns of a man who is considered as little more than cliché figure in modern texts.
