Abstract

Reported in this paper is the first observation of self-starting optical phase conjugation effect in nematic liquid crystal, using stimulated orientational scattering (SOS) effect induced by low power laser. The phase-conjugated signal is spatially of the same quality as the input laser beam and has approximately the same convergence.
