Abstract
Having examined the collective location, size, appearance and patterns of occupancy of offices, the authors document the evolution of the office buildings and districts. In order to interpret the pattern of development, and chronicle phases in construction, some knowledge is required of the city's changing role in the Canadian economy as well as a recognition that office development in Toronto has been much affected by economic changes at a global scale. -J.Sheail
