Abstract

Caring can be described as an act or as a way to approach patients. It can be a person?s trait, and it?s often an adjective describing someone perceived to be a good nurse. This simple definition allows for the exploration of caring in relation to smart healthcare systems, without being specific to a particular nursing specialty or even to healthcare. The degree to which a patient feels cared for depends on the patient?s perception irrespective of what mechanism is used to measure caring.
