Abstract

The compounds [M(NO)2(CH3CN)4](BF4)2; (2, M = Mo; 3, M = W) were synthesized through reactions of the corresponding metal hexacarbonyls with 2 equiv of NOBF4 in acetonitrile. These compounds catalyze the polymerization, oligomerization, and rearrangement of olefins.
