Abstract

Pyogenic spondylodiscitis can have nonspecific clinical and imaging presentations. In this report, we describe a case of pyogenic spondylodisicits of cervical spine mimicking teardrop fracture on radiography. Subsequent CT-guided biopsy helped identify the correct diagnosis and the responsible pathogen, Staphylococcus aureus.
