Characterization of the H1RG detector for NICFPS instrument

Abstract

We are presenting the preliminary characterization results of the Rockwell Scientific HgCdTe detector array used in the Near Infrared Camera and Fabry-Pérot Spectrograph (NIC-FPS). The detector was fabricated to cover the wavelength range from 0.8 to 2.5 microns and is bonded to a Hawaii-1RG multiplexer. This instrument was designed and built at the University of Colorado in Boulder and is used at the Apache Point Observatory's 3.5 meter telescope.
