Abstract
We discuss the effects of "color transparency", multiple scattering, and Fermi motion, for the quasi-exclusive production of J/ψ and other charmonium states, by p annihilation on nuclear protons. While in principle this is a good method of learning σψN, σψ′N, and isolating various effects in color transparency, in practice the experiments will be difficult due to severe suppression from Fermi motion.
