Abstract

The input chemical stimuli of a biological system carry both the initial information as well as information about the intrinsic characteristic of the system. In this article, we have developed a system that provides waveform generations and switching between two chemicals. Our concept takes advantages of acoustically activated bubbles in an ultrasonic field. Waveforms with numerous parameters such as period, width, time separation between each pulse, and amplitude of the chemical concentration were achieved. Furthermore, combining different-sized bubbles which compromised different natural frequencies are utilized to obtain chemical switching of two different fluids.
