Abstract

The feasibility of multilayer ceramic synthesis by a chemical route has been investigated. The process involves the formation of periodic precipitates of copper chromate in colloidally derived silica gels. The formation of periodic precipitates was investigated for the copper sulfate and potassium chromate solutions used to produce the precipitates.
