Abstract

As internet is rapidly growing and globalizing, it is crucial for internet companies to know preferential differences of regional customers to their websites. China is one of the fastest growing countries in the world and internet in China is very promising. This study investigates Chinese perceptions of website design quality by examining Chinese websites of four different industries. Website design quality factors developed by Zhang and her colleagues are adopted and used as criteria for ranking Chinese perceptions. A pilot study is performed and the initial findings are reported.
