Chiral Perfect Absorption on Exceptional Surfaces

Abstract

We demonstrate an exceptional surface in a waveguide-coupled resonator by establishing unidirectional coupling between its frequency-degenerate counterpropagating modes. When operated on the ES, the system exhibits chiral perfect absorption with quartic lineshape.
