Abstract

The authors compute the differential and total Thomson scattering cross-sections in a fully ionized plasma with a strong magnetic field, and discuss its polarization dependence. Approximate expressions for the cross-sections in the quasi-longitudinal and quasi-transverse propagation approximation are given.
