Abstract

The ten chapters of this book provide a concise overview of the various aspects of stereotactic body radiation therapy for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including general, radiobiological, technical and clinical issues. Post- SBRT imaging for NSCLC is an emerging area of research that is addressed in a dedicated chapter, and there are two chapters on the two most important complications associated with lung SBRT - chest wall toxicities and radiation pneumonitis. A chapter discussing the comparison of surgery and SBRT for early-stage NSCLC is also included. The book serves as a valuable reference for nurses, medical dosimetrists, medical physicists, medical students, doctors-in-training, radiation oncologists, clinical oncologists, medical oncologists, and surgeons involved in the care of patients with early-stage NSCLC.
