Abstract

This paper discusses a transient simulation method that enforces causality on the simulated waveform. The method integrates the frequency responses of the signal and power distribution networks, performs delay extraction, and simulates the transient response of the integrated network. The paper demonstrates the application of the method to account for EM parasitics and cross-talk, and shows the scalability of the method for performing large sized transient simulations.
