Abstract

This introduction to Volume 3 of this second edition of the International Handbook of Mathematics Teacher Education begins with a discussion of participants in mathematics teacher education, including recent changes in who participates and the nature of and contexts for participation. An overview of the fifteen chapters of the volume is presented, and guiding questions are offered to invite readers to explore lines of inquiry that traverse the volume.
