Abstract

A collaborative supply chain management solution to the realization of semiconductor manufacturing planning capable of timely responding to customer requirements is proposed. Workflow automation is used to manage process interaction across enterprises; software agents are used to promote flexibility and reconfigurability of business operations; while virtual-production-line management provides a mechanism in support of distributed computing to seamlessly link manufacturing planning with the changing requirements due to the fluctuating demands on manufactured products in the worldwide marketplace.
