Abstract
Investigations of the characteristics of an ultrasonic comb transducer have been performed for a range of transducer parameters. A numerical model-providing a time domain wave propagation solution for the field generated by a transducer on an elastic plate is presented. The ability of mode selection and isolation is demonstrated, which is of practical significance in NDE.
