Abstract
The acronym BLAG refers to a model devised by Berner, Lasaga & Garrels (M.A. 84M/4062) to quantify the processes controlling the atmospheric CO2 concentration during the last 100 m.y. On the premise that additional refinements to the model are needed, a self-consistent set of initial conditions is derived that is based on a steady-state procedure. A description of the steady-state initialization procedure is appended.-M.S.
