Abstract

The most common serious orthopedic injuries suffered by wrestlers involve injury to the cervical spine. There are also significant potential health consequences and time lost from competition due to nonorthopedic problems, especially those related to weight loss issues and skin infections. This review of the literature from the past 2 years is consistent with those topics.
