N2 - This paper presents a compact planar design of 2-D Butler matrix steering the beam of a 2× 2 patch antenna array for D-band frequencies. The stripline Butler matrix feeding network is beneath the microstrip patch array with a similar size. The full-wave simulation results show an operating band wider than 125GHz - 150GHz for the butler matrix, and demonstrate the four beams of antenna array with 8.5dBi gain.
