Dr. Lee Mclntosh (Michigan State University) and Jian-Ping Yu carried out the in vivo mutagenesis of PsaC in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. Kevin Parrett and Tetemke Mehari developed the methods for isolating P700-Fx cores and reconstituting P700-FA/FB complexes; Lian Yu reconstituted and studied the spectroscopic properties of the in vitro mutants; and Yean-Sung Jung studies the spectroscopic properties of the in vivo mutants. Dr. Ilya Vassiliev developed the optical spectroscopic protocols for analysis of the PSI acceptors.
