Abstract

A composite model for pressure drop calculation is proposed in this paper. A comparison has been made of this composite model with other methods with 323 sets of field measured data. Oil and gas fields of Indian Offshore and Onshore which are under active exploitation were selected. Also included are some sets of data. Data so acquired covers a wide range for all parameters. The accuracy of pressure drop calculated by the proposed model shows good results. By studying its applicability in different ranges it is concluded that this model performes well in all the ranges of liquid flow rate, gas oil ratio, dia, API and water cut.
