Abstract
It is shown how the theory of complex residue rings can be used to define a computationally useful complex residue number arithmetic, independent of any relation it may have to complex number theoretic transforms. The theory of complex residue arithmetic has apparent applications in systems requiring real-time processing of complex signals, such as in radar, communication, and speech processing systems.
