Abstract

0-3 composites have been prepared from a water-based suspension of electroceramics and polymer. A typical paint base consisting of a methacrylic copolymer emulsion along with surfactants and rheological agents was used in all formulations. The paint was filled with various concentrations of piezoceramics such as PZT and coprecipitated PbTiO. The filled emulsion was spread on an appropriate surface, dried and the resultant film electroded and poled. Piezoelectric d OVER BAR -coefficients, as well as dielectric constant and resistivity were determined for all composites.
