Abstract
A continuum description of partially fluidized granular flows was developed. The study was based non hydrodynamic equation for the flow coupled with the ordered parameter equation that analyzed the transition between flowing and static components of the granular system. The model captured important aspects of the phenomology of chute flows observed during the study.
