Abstract
Telephone and mail surveys are commonly used to collect data on a given population. However, these methods are impractical when there are no available address/phone lists or when the postal and phone systems lack security or reliability. We employed the local water company's meter readers to conduct a drop-off/pick-up survey on water conservation attitudes in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. This method provided low costs, good coverage, quick turnaround time, and a high response rate.
