Abstract
The potential contributions of cognitive engineering to various engineering education research methods are discussed. Cognitive science provides insights relevant to education into individual learning. It's main focus is to understand the human mind, building on several diverse disciplines such as neuroscience, philosophy and artifical intelligence. Relationships between parts of the system show how closely measurements on those parts are related, and so show to what extent measurements confirm each other.
