Control and operation of a central processing unit: A hardware simulation of computer architecture

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper presents a detailed look at the operation of the individual components comprising the Central Processing Unit of a computer. In particular, hardware implementations are given to explain the functions of a Central Processing Unit. This is done via laboratory-like experiments with step by -step procedures to provide a clear and precise illustration of the operation of each component.
