Abstract

Correction Notice 1.) In the abstract, the 4th to last and 5th to last sentence read “The analysis shows that LH2-powered aircraft can reduce the environmental impact of Jet-A aircraft by 88%. As a result of higher assumed fuel costs, the operating costs are higher(+28% for the regional and +53% for single-aisle) for the LH2-powered aircraft.” These sentences are corrected below: The analysis shows that LH2-powered aircraft can reduce the environmental impact of Jet-A aircraft by 88% for a regional turboprop and 87% for a single-aisle aircraft. As a result of higher assumed fuel costs, the operating costs are higher (+30% for the regional and +61% for single-aisle) for the LH2-powered aircraft. 2.) On page 9, the third sentence of the second paragraph in Section III.A says “There is less than 0.08% variation in the optimization cost of the two extreme ends of the pareto fronties.” This sentences is corrected below: There is less than 0.036% variation in the optimization cost of the two extreme ends of the pareto frontiers.
