Abstract

In subsection 2.3.1 “Quantitative design considerations for NIR exposure” of the Methods section, the seventh sentence of the second paragraph (describing the light fixture practicality) contained an error in the translation of values from irradiance in W/m2 to dose rate per unit area in J/cm2/hr. The sentence should read as follows: Light fixture practicality: We selected a stable, controllable LED fixture with broad-band white and narrow-band NIR emitters, achieving an irradiance of approximately 14 W/m2, corresponding to a dose rate per unit area of 50,400 J/m2 per hour of exposure (i.e., approximately 5 J/cm2/hr). The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
